High fives to the Democrats for kicking ass in Illinois. Not surprisingly, they didn't fare as well elsewhere. The media's singing one song: The Democrats dropped the ball by choosing not to oppose Bush in any way. I have to agree, but then, rolling back the tax cut and staying out of Iraq probably wouldn't play well in these financially-frightened, war-fevered times.

Tim and I watched the coverage, which only got us worked up, he a little more than me. He started mocking the Republican gloating goin' on: "We won't allow abortion, but we won't help the babies after they're born!" (CROWD GOES WILD) "We'll lower the minimum wage and use the money for all the prisons we're gonna build!" (CROWD GOES WILD)
